CROOK PEAK SUNRISE
April in Somerset can be deceptive; while the afternoons felt like summer, the morning on Crook Peak was freezing. I spent the pre-dawn climb questioning my life choices as I fumbled up the hillside in the dark. At the top, the wind was so biting I only had a few minutes of dexterity in my fingers before the cold took over. This shot captures that fleeting moment of peace when the sun finally crests the horizon, turning a freezing ordeal into a beautiful image.
