PAIR OF GREAT WHITE EGRETS FLYING SIDE BY SIDE IN THE WINTER SUN
Two Great White Egrets gliding in unison at Chew Valley Lake, the low sun hitting their feathers perfectly against the misty backdrop. It is fantastic to see them becoming such a common sight in Somerset; considering the first UK breeding pair was recorded as recently as 2012, they have truly made themselves at home in our wetlands.
